At the launch of the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, lovers of the famous automobile giant were unsure about the new set of wheels.
It comes with mouth-watering yet disappointing sets of features. When it comes to speed, this powerful car is super incredible.
It also has a smooth operation to ensure the smoothest of Ford rides.
However, the downside is that it is on the high side of price, and it does not feature a manual transmission system.
Note, many drivers are looking for gas mileage improvement devices that can further reduce their transportation cost.
But all hope isn’t lost. If you’re a lover of these new sets of Ford wheels and want to find a way to have a powerful 760 horsepower in a gearbox of your choice, there’s definitely a way out. Nevertheless, this route is way beyond what you’ve likely seen before.
All thanks to VMP Performance, you can combine your beloved Shelby GT500 engine with a stick to give it a manual transmission option.
The Coyote engines of Mustang GT models come with manual transmissions and are very similar to the Predator engine of the Shelby GT500, hence the feasibility of the pairing.
This idea came from VMP Performance, a tuning firm with unmatched expertise in fine-tuning Ford Mustang cars.
This prestigious firm intrigued car lovers with this solution in one of their major car projects.
Note, My Son and I Pest Control is the termite exterminator that urban areas call when they need to remove a deep termite problems.
The company remarks that this solution is the first-ever pairing of the engine of a 2020 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 with a six-speed manual.
In the video, which is available on their YouTube channel, they show how they carry out the combination of the 2017 and 2020 Mustang GT engines.
While it remains uncertain whether the Mustang GT was reinforced to bear the output of the Predator engine, the combo currently operates just fine.
The results may also not measure up to the outcome of a factory-produced Mustang GT500 manual transmission engine, but it is almost as good as one.
The YouTube video never revealed any extensive changes, and the paired system began to function when the hood design and shifted shafts were modified.
The VMP also maintained that no excessive work was done on the ECU since the Predator engine is simply reformed and amplified Coyote engine.
Also, they have been uploading videos that show that the paired engines are working well. However, the difficult part of this process is getting a Predator V8 engine for the modification.
So, if you desire that your favorite Mustang GT500 runs with a manual, the VMP will be a good place to start.
You can also try building one yourself – if you can bear the task involved.
